We had a lot of great conversations both in breakout rooms and in the chat. Some takeaways:
- Instructors shared that tools like Grammarly help catch typos
- Many of you had questions about the data. For example, what % of learners use captions? We’re connecting with the team and will follow up.
- We had quite a few questions arise around captions. Click here for our Help Center documentation.
- @VascoPatricio _ExecCoach
and @Jeremy -TBAG
discussed the importance of normalizing the volume of your audio so learners don't have to adjust between lessons. - @AtilSamancioglu
highlighted the importance of describing actions in a course. For example "I'm clicking on the top of the screen" versus "I'm clicking here now" - A few instructors asked about how Udemy determines which courses to added translations for. We provide translations for top-performing courses in Udemy Business based on top ratings, top enrollments, top minutes consumed, and top completed. Additionally, we listen to our global customer needs and aim to provide our customers with translations to increase accessibility for learners around the globe.
Huge shoutout to our event committee for facilitating our breakout room discussions @ITVersity
